Now
I'm in Edinburgh for the semester, studying a variety of interesting things. My classes are Introduction to Mobile Robotics, Combinatorics and Graph Theory, Induction: Analogy, Learning, and Generalisation in Humans and Machines, and Phonetic Analysis and Empirical Methods. I'm meeting up with fellow AXC readers, drinking herbal liqueur made by silent monks, and getting rained on.
I'm going to be a father pretty soon after I get back, so I'm trying to prepare for that as best I can.
I'm reading:
- The Book of Why by Judea Pearl and Dana Mackenzie
- Algorithms to Live By by Tom Griffiths and Brian Christian
- The Mind is Flat by Nick Chater
I'll let you know how they are once I finish.
I'm trying to figure out how to live my life in the best way I can. It's pretty tricky.
